From the journal of Carol Evans, April 17

April 17, 2017

I am still heading towards Aspen. I really hope that there are other people there who thought about the rich peoples homes. I have been avoiding the cities and towns to avoid the biggest concentration of undead. I am getting really tired of my own company and would give my right arm to talk to someone else.
At least there were some good CD's in the truck. Garth Brooks, Aerosmith, Eminem, Kelly Clarkson and others. I have been enjoying listening to all the music and singing along. It has been a long time since I was able to listen to music. It is really serial to be listening to music and passing undead on the road, almost like a twisted music video.
Last night, I slept at what used to be a gas station. I rigged empty cans around the truck with string so I would be alerted if anything got too close. I also raided the little store and found some junk food. It's not my favorite, but it will keep me alive.
I am thinking about checking out the restroom to see if there is any water left in the pipes. I would kill for a sponge bath because I can smell myself. Here I go....
Holy shit! There was about a cup of water left and I used the freezing cold water to wash myself and then headed back to the truck. There was a horde of undead, at least 15 or so, and I barely made it back here to the truck. I have to leave now! I will try to write more later, once I am in a safer place.
